Collegiate HS Information

Cedar Hill Collegiate High School (CHCHS) is a nationally recognized Early College High School.  CHCHS opened in 2008 and earned an Exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for four consecutive years.

In 2015, Collegiate High School earned seven out of seven Distinctions from TEA and was named to the Best Schools List by U.S. News and World Report. Moreover, in 2014-2016 Collegiate High School was named America’s Top High School by Newsweek, which ranked CHCHS as the second best school in the State of Texas and the seventy-sixth best high school in the United States.  CHCHS provides motivated students the rigor, depth and intensity of college-level work in a smaller, learner-centered environment.  CHCHS also helps students and their families save time and money by integrating high school and college.

Through a partnership with Cedar Valley Community College, students are able to complete 60 hours of college credit tuition-free and earn an associate degree prior to high school graduation.  Our alumni have continued demonstrating academic excellence after graduation and are consistently admitted to the top universities in the nation, including several Ivy Leagues.  On average our graduating class earns over 8 million dollars in scholarships collectively each year.

We are proud to serve the Greater Southwest community as the premier early college high school in the state and look forward to continuing the legacy of excellence.
